A MAJOR initiative to help firms make sure they are not caught out by the millennium bug has been launched
With just seven months to go before the turn of the century Business Link East Lancashire has joined forces with a computer firm to offer help.
The initiative, partly funded by European grants, will enable firms to have an assessment of the computer systems carried out and installation of software to ensure it is able to deal with the Year 2000 date change. The firm will also give advice on how to deal with systems which can be altered to cope with the change.
