RE: JARRETT, Holden, Aspinall (LET, May 18). Mr Jarrett objects to Stephen Cummings "drivel" appearing in the Darwen edition of your paper.
We in Accrington have to put up with the constant drivel of whingeing Rovers fans appearing every week Mr Jarrett. Nobody forces you to read it as nobody forces me to read the embarrassingly biased match reports that are in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph every Monday throughout the season.
As to the issue of childishness, I would have thought that most Rovers fans could write a book on the subject. It's not so long ago that an aeroplane flew over Turf Moor during a match that said "Staying down 4 ever, love Rovers. Ha-ha-ha."
Obviously this is maturity at its height!
As for Mr Holden, I remember the two clubs meeting several times in the last 10 years in the Lancs-Manx Cup, so I have no idea what he classes as a generation.
And if Mr Holden, and indeed Mr Aspinall, view the Clarets with such indifference, why did they bother answering the Stephen Cummings piece?
Rovers do not have many bigger fish to fry as Mr Aspinall suggests, there is only one division between us now.
