IN GETTING back to the Premiership, Rovers have got to make sure that they are sufficiently geared in all departments so they stay there and build on the success which will come their way.
Jack Walker, Brian Kidd, and some of the players, have already nailed their colours to the mast, and after that fantastic showing of loyalty by the fans after the Manchester United match, I've nothing but enthusiasm for the coming season.
Since relegation was confirmed, it has been said there is a deep-seated problem at the club which has to be removed before the club can move forward.
In any business - as football is these days - major decisions are taken and acted upon by the Board.
Since we won the championship four years ago, the self-destruct button has been pushed so many times by the Board that we got used to it. At this time, when they more than anybody else should be showing wholehearted support for the cause, where are they? Nowhere to be seen.
Spineless, gutless, cowards, rubber dinghy men - where have I heard those words before?
I sincerely believe they play a major part in holding the club back. Jack Walker must apply the same rules to them as he has to management teams throughout his business career.
If they, as I firmly believe, are part of the problem, they should play no part in the solution.
