MY Dad, Lawrence Patrick Finnigan, who was born in Liverpool, served with the East Lancashire Regiment from 1937 to 1945. He was at Fulwood Barracks, in Preston, and also served in Northern Ireland - at Palace Barracks in Hollywood, County Down - and was also despatched to Normandy in 1944.
He now lives in London and wonders if any of the friends he served with, or any relatives, can give him some feedback from those days. This would be much appreciated and would make him very happy.
