YOUNGSTERS from a Darwen school discovered how words and pictures arrive on newspaper pages during a visit to our head office in Blackburn.
More than 40 pupils in year 3 at Sudell County Primary School have become avid newspaper readers thanks to out Super Story Search literacy project and, as an extension to this, they made a train journey to see how the news comes to them.
The newspaper-based literacy pack is available to any school in East Lancashire including summer literacy projects.
