COMPANIES in Pendle are being urged to cut down on water pollution during a workshop next month, aimed at helping bosses get a greater understanding of the impact their businesses have on the environment.
The Business Environment Association (Pendle) is staging the event at the Pendle Business Centre, Nelson, on June 17.
It will give delegates an insight into key pieces of environmental legislation and practical advice on keeping within the law.
BEA environmental adviser John Fish, said: "Many businesses find it difficult to keep up to date with the requirements of environmental law. The consequences of non-compliance can be significant, including hefty fines, bad publicity and even the shut-down of processes."
Further details on the workshop is available by contacting Mr Fish on 01282 661684.
