AN embossing machine and 150 reels of wallpaper were damaged during a fire at Zen Wallcoverings Iin Darwen.
Firefighters were called to the business in Britannia Mill, Cross Street, shortly after 5am today.
The embossing machine which had overheated and caught fire, smoke logged the building.
A spokesman for Darwen Fire Station said: "Fortunately the employees in the building at the time followed an efficient and effective fire procedure which prevented any serious damage."
