ONCE again, because of Bank Holiday Monday, residents of Unsworth - whose dustbins are normally emptied on Mondays - will have to wait two weeks.
As we have at least four fewer refuse collections a year than folk whose bins are normally emptied on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, can we therefore have a council tax reduction?
Or why can't there be a rota, as is the case in at least one nearby local authority where residents in different parts of the borough take it in turn to miss out on a collection because of bank holiday disruption? Can I have an answer from Bury Town Hall please?
How about one of those councillors who was seeking our votes earlier this month pressing for a fairer system.
EVER BIN HAD? Unsworth.
