ALMOST before the ink is dry on last season's league table with West Park once again just missing the single promotion spot from Thwaites North West Division One (level seven) the earliest ever start to pre-season training has been set at Tuesday June 15.
Coaching and fitness training sessions start at 7pm every Tuesday and Thursday under the auspices of Alan Prescott and Sean Fletcher, the latter combining the duties of club captain and forward coach.
On the organisation side John Bradbury continues as Director of Rugby with Bob Singleton as first team manager and selector.
On the playing front, Park lose Nigel Heslop who has announced his retirement from senior rugby but gain Ian Worsley from Rotherham. New players will be made most welcome at pre-season training and hopes are high that the coming season will bring the promotion deserved.
