MORECAMBE'S newest summer festival will be celebrating that Great British institution - fish and chips.
In an attempt to attract grease-loving gastronomes to the seaside resort, tourism bosses have dreamt up the Great British Fish and Chips Feast.
People will be able to tuck into a wide choice of fish and chip dishes while watching themed entertainment and indulging in traditional seaside activities.
Similar food-based festivals have proved a hit in other parts of the country and the fish and chips idea is expected to get the backing of councillors.
