BILLINGE boosted their West Lancashire League title hopes with a fine win over Singlehurst. Batting first on a lively track, the Middlhurst brothers, Steve and Shaun set Billinge up in fine style. Steve hammered 70 and Shaun blaste 50 as Billinge reached 191-8 at tea. On the resumption, Singlehurst made a determined effort. But John Dillon took 2-28 as Singlehurst werer all out for 126. Elsewhere, Winwick 2 defeated Goodlass. In the Sunday Section Highfield beat Leigh by eight wickets.
And Salisbury defeated champions Action. Meanwhile, the League side beat the North West Counties second team at Widnes.
