PROPERTY tycoon Gerald Hitman will have his bid to get the go ahead for his controversial development at Brockhall discussed by councillors on Thursday.
Mr Hitman applied to Ribble Valley Council to reduce the number of homes at Brockhall Village from 400 to 345 and the amount of employment space from 900,000 square feet to just 120,000 in December.
But the council's planning committee voted against the proposed changes and Mr Hitman appealed against their decision.
A public inquiry will take place into the original application on June 15 but in the meantime Mr Hitman has submitted a second application to try to address the council's concerns and remove the need for their to be an inquiry.
This time he is offering highway improvements along Northcote Road, a proportion of smaller homes, new woodland to be planted, and a new footpath.
The new proposals put the application more in line with Ribble Valley Council's planning policies.
