THREE teenagers were due to appear in court today charged in connection with an assault on a 13-year-old girl.
The alleged attack happened near Oswaldtwistle War Memorial at around midnight on Friday.
The girl, who was with two teenage friends at the time, suffered serious head injuries.
Her family are at her bedside in Blackburn Royal Infirmary where she was said today to be in a stable condition.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested during the day on Saturday and was charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm on Sunday.
Two girls, aged 16 and 17, were also charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm on Sunday evening.
The 16-year-old was also charged with wounding regarding an unrelated incident on Saturday night.
