JOANNE Conlon is building a dream career - and wants other women to join her!
Quantity surveyor Joanne, 26, is taking part in a campaign to try and change the image of building as a male-dominated industry.
The former Westholme and Clitheroe Royal Grammar School pupil is helping highlight job opportunities.
"I was one of just seven women out of 79 people taking the course at university, but things are definitely changing in the industry, said Joanne, who works for John Turner & Sons in Preston.
"There are more women in construction now and I've met no resistance."
Joanne joined the industry after completing a four year course at Nottingham Trent University and spending three years at a consultancy company in Manchester.
