MORE than a third of adults in the North West are watching their weight according to a poll commissioned by the international development charity ActionAid.
The study of eating habits and food budgets was carried out by the charity as part of its annual fund-raising and campaigning drive - ActionAid Week.
"Our poll highlights the choices we in the UK have about the type of food we eat," says ActionAid's Isabel McCrea.
"But in the developing world, more than 850 million people go to bed hungry every night while genetically modified crops threaten the future livelihoods of millions of farmers."
