MORE 50 youngsters made two trips from their school in Rossendale to see for themselves some of the many jobs involved in newspaper production, thanks to funding towards the cost of transport from East Lancs Education Business Partnerships.
Pupils in year six at Crawshawbooth County Primary School made the journey to our head office in Blackburn and printing plant near Bolton to get first hand facts on advertising, news writing, photography, page design and printing.
The class have completed their reading tasks in our NIE Super Story Search literacy project and are now planning to put together their own school newspaper before the end of term.
