THE controversial 'Top Tenner' scheme has been ended, but Blackburn Rovers will continue to look at introducing special promotions.

"As a brand, the 'Top Tenner' has been discontinued," said chief executive John Williams.

"But we will still be targeting schools and other groups for special promotions.

"We want to build our crowds as high as possible."

The 'Top Tenner' fell foul of a number of season-ticket holders, even though they understood the motives behind the club's thinking to offer a certain number of cheap seats.
