A PILOT scheme designed to help older people living in Clitheroe and Longridge to do their own shopping is being launched next month.
The Age Concern Lancashire and Ribble Valley Community Transport initiative will run for six months.
The charity needs five 'shopping partners' to start the new service.
They will provide moral or physical assistance, mainly on a one-to-one basis, once a fortnight. Transport is not necessary.
Anybody who would like to get involved should ring Amanda at The Volunteering Project on 01200 422721.
