A SURGE in passenger numbers has pushed profits up at airports operator BAA.
The operator, headed by former Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School pupil Sir John Egan, said 112.5million passengers used the group's UK airports in the year to March 31, an eight per cent rise on the 104.5million air travellers the previous year.
