MORE than 50 jobs have been saved at Nelson printing plate maker Outline Engraving after it was sold by receivers.

The Brook Street company, which went into administrative receivership in April, has been bought by Warrington-based Pamarco Europe Ltd, part of an American-owned group which has guaranteed all 56 jobs at the Nelson works.

The company supplies flexographic plates to a range range of blue-chip customers.

The deal was arranged by Dermot Power and Charles MacMillan of BDO Stoy Hayward's corporate recovery department in Manchester, who found the buyer within 10 days of advertising the business for sale.

Outline Engraving, established in 1971, has an annual turnover of £2.1 million.

Joint receiver Mr MacMillan said: "We are pleased that our efforts, together with those of the new management, have resulted in a successful sale, ensuring continued employment."

Stoy Hayward has 45 offices nationwide and is the sixth largest accountancy organisation in the UK.
