THE Governor of the Bank of England, Eddie George, said, after the value of the euro fell yet again, that for Britain to join the euro would be an act of faith.
In my opinion, it would be utter folly to even consider giving up the pound to join the European single currency.
I do wish the Prime Minister would hurry up with the referendum he has promised the British people on the topic.
Even Mr Blair with all his spin doctors would struggle to persuade the British people to join a currency that is worth just 64 pence of our pound.
