AS we mark National Volunteers Week, I would like to make an urgent appeal for help. We want anyone who can give just a few hours of their time to offer their talents and services to help raise money for The Cancer Research Campaign.
We are always grateful to people who can spare a couple of hours a week to help in our shops or to help with fund-raising activities organised by our Committees, but any offer of help, no matter how small is appreciated.
If you could give us 12 hours over the next 12 months, it would make a difference. It is up to you how to break it down - it could be selling raffle tickets, manning a stall, acting as a marshal at an event or joining one of our luncheon clubs - the choice is yours.
Anyone who wants to donate their spare time to The Cancer Research Campaign can contact me on 0161 7931313.
JOANNA LAVELLE, North West Regional Director, The Cancer Research Campaign, Upper Parade, Swinton, Manchester.
