A DRUNKEN man "ushered" from a fish bar squared up to a police officer and threatened to kill him.
Burnley magistrates heard how Shahid Latif, 26, smashed his plate on the cell door.
Latif, of Every Street, Nelson, must pay £210 in fines and costs after admitting failing to surrender, damaging property belonging to Lancashire Constabulary and being drunk and disorderly.
Neil White, prosecuting, said Latif had not left the shop, despite being asked to do so a couple of times and was ushered into Hibson Street, Nelson. He squared up to the officer and threatened to kill him. He was given a meal at the police station and banged the plate on the wall until it smashed.
John Greenwood, defending, said Latif knew his behaviour was unacceptable.
