RIDERS from all over the country contested the eighth annual Astley & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway Festival.
The Gin Pit meeting saw local rider David Farley record an amazing maximum 20 points to win the Novices - his first success in his brief spell in the sport.
Damien Hack notched 17 points for third in the Juveniles, which was won by Mike Morgans (Wednesfield).
Morgans also won the Intermediates while James Carter (Heckmondwike) wons the Seniors.
A&T riders competed strong in every event with Farley, Hack and Lee Phillips all recording PBs.
A week earlier A&T turned in a fine performance at the British Junior League match at Sandwell.
Martin Phillips and Damien Hack dropped a point each, with good back-up from David Farley and new riders Mark Marshall and Sean Daltry.
Martin won the U19 Grand Prix final and Damien fell in the U16 final after leading for three laps.
Final score: Wednesfield 109, Sandwell 73, Bury 61, A&T 56, Tameside 41, Stoke 34.
A&T staged the British League North KO Cup Finals at Gin Pit, Heckmondwike beating Bury 81-68 in the juniors and Stockport 97-81 in the seniors.
