PRESTON and District's Tennis Tournament has been hailed a massive success - before it has even begun.
Tournament secretary Pat Dickinson said: "We have received more than 120 entries for the competition, which dates back to the 1930s.
"It is a well established tournament and this year's entry is very good."
The event is being sponsored by Karl Cramp Sports and the the total prize fund is £530 in sport vouchers.
Robert Cross from Leyland is the men's number one seed and is fighting to retain his title from last year's competition.
Jane Catlow, who missed the tournament last year, is the ladies' first seed.
The competition starts on Monday and is at tennis clubs throughout the area until the finals at Penwortham Manor Lane club on June 19.
