I READ in last week's Citizen the article concerning the pressure group of parents whose children have not been given a place at the school of their choice and who are objecting to being offered a place at Skerton High School.
May I through your letters page state how proud I am to be the headteacher of Skerton High School. I am also proud of the many successes and achievements of pupils and staff at the school over recent years.
I can assure parents of our commitment in ensuring a quality education for all children at this school and would be pleased to discuss any aspect of school life with anyone who has concerns. Indeed, I have already offered this opportunity to parents of children offered places here in September and would urge them to contact me.
Mr P Doyle, Headteacher of Skerton High School
