LEIGH Parish Church bells will ring out as part of the town's centenary celebrations and a Community Day.
The church is opening its doors to the public on June 12, from 10am to 4pm, when visitors will have the chance to learn a little of the church's 800 year history.
There will be exhibitions and displays of work done by pupils from the parish's schools.
The uniformed organisations will be giving demonstrations, and tours of the church are planned, along with quizzes for both adults and children.
The bells will be rung by the Lancashire Association of Change Ringers, and there will be a chance to hear the famous Harrison organ in recital.
A gift and craft stall will be set up, and refreshments and light lunches will be served in the vestry.
