FORMER Golborne woman Sylvia Taylor is back on home ground in the next week.
Her hard-hitting play "Point of Impact" will be performed by the Trojan Theatre at Leigh College's Theatre Upstairs on Monday.
It will then be staged at Golborne High on Wednesday and Thursday and plays a final date at Wigan's Mill on The Pier on June 12.
Later it will move on to the Isle of Man and then the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The play - some four years in research and writing - focuses on three RAF men imprisoned during the Gulf War.
Instrumental in the play's development has been Margaret Hallowell, head of drama at Golborne High, where Year 11 students in 1997/98 were also heavily involved.
Four members of the Trojan crew are also former students at Leigh College.
Sylvia, Trojan's artistic director, is now moving into films with three in production through the next 12 months - for the BBC and Channel 4.
There are also plans to film "Point of Impact" which will be shown at the Leeds International Film Festival.
