I FELT I must put pen to paper to comment on your article 'Council leader's a kerb crawler.'
At first I thought it was an advertisement from a proud grandparent about a recent birth of their grandchild, but then I read on and find it is about Councillor Mrs Lewis and her stroll around Leyland.
Does she not realise that some of us have been pushing prams around Leyland for years?
But now the lack of dropped kerbs affects her, she is prepared to do something about it.
Is it any wonder all the residents in Fox Lane are complaining?
I am also concerned about the plans for Tesco. I do not have a problem with Tesco, but one shop on its own will not solve Leyland's problem.
Do not forget Tesco was here before and bailed out when profits were down.
I will never forget that Coun Lewis did not support the firefighters during their hour of need, even though she tried to make light of the matter and cover up later on.
If it was not for Coun Tom Sharratt and his Idle Toad colleagues this council would not have done anything.
Coun Lewis would be better occupied sorting out her priorities rather than concentrating only on things which interest herself and her family.
