ST ANNES enjoyed their third victory in three days when they beat Preston by eight wickets at South Meadow Lane.
Batting first, Preston were restricted to 122-9, with Asif Bukhari top scoring with 33.
He was assisted by Trevor Donaldson with 30 and Paul Mann with 20.
Adrian Darlington was the pick of the St Annes bowlers, taking 4 for 48.
St Annes started disastrously, losing openers Adrian Darlington and Andy Kellett with only eight runs on the board.
Nevertheless, professional Dave Callaghan and captain Russell Bradley featured in an unbroken 116 runs partnership for the third wicket to win the match on 124-2.
Callaghan made 62 and Bradley 44.
Callaghan's innings lasted 109 minutes and he faced 93 balls and hit 7 fours and one six.
Looking ahead to Saturday June 6), St Annes have a tough match when they travel to Cumbria to play the current league champions Netherfield.
Although Netherfield lost their local derby with Kendal they will be strengthened with the return of Simon Dutton, Martin Lewis and Jimmy Moyes back from duty with Cumberland.
