A SAFETY poster designed by cubs from Padiham was picked as the best in the North West.
Burnley Council's environmental health and cleansing services unit organised the event in conjunction with the North Western Home Safety Council and asked brownie and cub packs throughout the North West to design posters.
The entry from 3rd Padiham St John's won them a shield, certificate and £100.
Burnley Council Environmental Health Officer Jayne Enright said: "This year they were asked to design a poster around the hazards of burns and scalds in the home and Padiham cubs drew a house and marked the hazards in each of the rooms."
