PRESTWICH Ladies Bowling League are hoping to jack-up funds to send a local girl to Florida.
Fifty-one players will tomorrow, June 5,compete in a charity bowling competition and fund-raising day in aid of the Emma Berman Florida Fund.
Emma (11) of Polefield Hall Road, Prestwich, has been severely disabled since contracting meningitis at five-months-old. A pupil at Elms Bank High School, Emma suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
Her mother Juliet is trying to raise enough cash to take Emma to Florida for the world famous dolphin therapy.
Prestwich Ladies Bowling League has already raised £600 towards the appeal.
Bailey Street bowling green in Prestwich will be the venue for tomorrow's knockout competition which will be supported by a host of fund-raising stalls and attractions and starts at 10am.
