MORE cars are made than babies born every day in Europe, Janet Anderson MP pointed out in a Commons motion.
And the Rossendale and Darwen MP used the statistic to support a call for the Government to cut back on car use.
Congratulating the Environmental Transport Association for organising Green Transport Week, she wanted priority to be given to transport such as walking, cycling, trains and buses.
