BLACKBURN and Darwen Amnesty International group would like to thank all who gave generously to our flag day on May 29.
We raised more than £220 which will be sent to Amnesty International's campaign for children's rights.
Amnesty is raising awareness that more than 300,000 children fight in wars around the world and two million children and young people under 18 have died in armed conflict over the last decade.
If you feel strongly about children being forced to participate in armed conflict, please sign our petition which will be presented to the Prime Minister in November.
LORI MARSDEN, (Chairman, Blackburn with Darwen Amnesty International Group), 47 Hozier Street, Blackburn, BB1 3JP.
