A MASKED burglar fell through the plastic corrugated roof of an out-building after being pushed off a ladder during a burglary at a house in Burnley.
At least two masked man were involved in the burglary of a house in Padiham Road at 3.25am today.
They went into the rear yard of the terraced property and put a ladder up to an open bedroom window.
At least one climbed in while the occupiers were asleep and stole a black leather wallet containing £500 cash, Abbey National card, and gas and electricity payment cards.
They were disturbed when the couple in the house woke up.
One of the offenders was on the ladder when the woman of the house pushed him back off the ladder. He fell several feet through the corrugated roof.
DC Andy Bell said: "He cannot have been too seriously injured as he made good his escape."
"We think two or three men wearing balaclava masks were involved. Inquiries are continuing.''
