Worthington Cup 1st round draw
BURNLEY have been handed one of the toughest possible draws in the first round of the Worthington Cup after being paired with newly promoted Manchester City.
First Division City will entertain the Clarets in the first leg at Maine Road in the week commencing August 9.
And the return will be at Turf Moor, where Joe Royle's men won 6-0 last season on the way to reaching the Second Division play-offs, a fortnight later.
The draw also adds extra spice to Burnley's home pre-season friendly against City on Saturday, July 17.
