THREE teenagers accused of assaulting a 13-year-old girl have appeared before Hyndburn youth court in relation to a late-night incident where a girl suffered extensive injuries.
A 16-year-old unemployed girl from Oswaldtwistle and a 17-year-old girl from Church are jointly charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
A 17-year-old boy from Oswaldtwistle is charged with a similar offence.
The assault is said to have happened near Oswaldtwistle War Memorial on Friday, May 28.
The 13-year-old victim suffered a broken wrist, a suspected fractured skull, possible injuries to her neck vertebrae and ear, and extensive bruising to her face and body. None of the teenagers involved can be named for legal reasons.
The Oswaldtwistle girl is also charged with making threats to kill and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following a separate incident at a house in Accrington on Sunday, May 30.
All three were bailed for four weeks to face committal proceedings.
