KOSOVAR refugees got the chance to try out their soccer skills during a special day at Ewood Park.
They visited the club for two hours, and had football coaching as well as a tour of the ground. There were 25 refugees who each received a Blackburn Rovers cap from the club shop.
Michael Brennan, Blackburn Rovers Football in the Community co-ordinator, was their host for the day, and he said it was difficult at first because there was only one translator.
He said: "It was hard work to start with as the first group of refugees arrived without a translator. I managed to tell them to copy what I do, and straight away we started playing a game of football. During the tour of the ground, they were all asking very good questions.
"Three or four of the refugees arrived wearing Rovers shirts, and they all seemed to know about Blackburn Rovers. They all enjoyed it and said they would love to come again. It was a great experience and hopefully we will be able to do it again."
