THE future of hospital care in the Blackburn region received a severe jolt with the news of further delays over a decision to develop a "super hospital" at Queen's Park.
Staff at Blackburn, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley NHS Trust expected a decision by the end of last December.
The Department of Health's lame excuse that it is all down to "accounting processes relating to the Private Finance Initiative" is simply not acceptable.
