THE article in the Evening Telegraph regarding traffic-calming, and in Henry Street, Church in particular, is welcome news. It is to be hoped that the review will be thorough enough to satisfy all opinions.

There is, however, one serious draw-back with the arrangements so far, and that is the form the review will take. The chief officers have been told to go away so that they can have a rethink, but the danger of this is that it may not be as objective as a truly independent one would have been.

A review by a team fully qualified in all aspects of traffic control, both at present and in the future, bearing in mind the large increase in demand for school places and subsequent vehicular traffic, would have been a far better proposition.
