GLAZEBURY'S bid to win promotion to the NorthWest Counties First Division faltered with their first defeat.
They struggled for runs against some tight bowling by a tight Shell Westminster Park attack, only opener Graham Harrop - who hit a solid 36 - showing any form among the early batsmen.
Paul Warhurst chipped in with 23 and bowler Mike Durrington hit an invaluable and unbeaten 22 as the tail briefly wagged.
But, in the end, Glazebury could muster only a poor 135.
The visitors quickly took up the challenge as bowling became difficult in the rain.
Gareth Banks and Tom Milmine each picked up two wickets but Park eased to a six-wicket win on 137-4.
Their top scorer was Dave Green, who was unbeaten on 64 - having been dropped when he had scored five.
Glazebury 2nd earned a winning draw against Shell - thanks to matchwinner Andy Durrington.
He blasted a swashbuckling 78 as his side scored 157-8, then he took 5-43 with Shell able to scramble only 105-7 before bad light stopped play.
The U13s romped to an eight-wicket victory against Haydock who scored just 69-6, Andrew Calvert taking 2-8. Neil Jones then hit an unbeaten 36 as Glazebury raced to 70-2.
The U11s won by 16 runs at Sutton; Andrew Foster was top scorer on 17 while Andrew Calvert took 2-8.
