ANGLERS have the chance to cast their views on the improvement of coarse fishing.
To coincide with the start of the river season the Environment Agency has started consultation plans for the development of the sport.
A document, Coarse Fisheries Strategy, sets out how the Agency intends to deliver better fisheries in future to allow more people to compete.
It has restored fish to more than 50 kilometres of rivers every year in recent years and stocked 204,000 coarse fish into restored rivers in 1998-9.
Regional fisheries manager, Mark Diamond, said: "The Agency welcomes any comments or advice that would improve the plans."
Copies are being distributed to angling clubs, but are also available by contacting 0645 333111.
