NEARLY six years ago a friend of mine placed an advertisement for me in the Citizen's Two's Company column, hoping I would meet someone.
Having split up with my husband six months earlier, I wasn't too sure I could go through with it.
But I plucked up the courage to pick up the phone and listen to my messages.
I had seven, but there was just one I was interested in.
Two days later, I rang John and we talked for a while.
He seemed to be a nice, genuine guy and we decided to meet for a drink.
The rest is history.
We got married on July 11 last year, and I had the fairytale wedding I thought I'd never have.
I wanted the Citizen to print this letter so that I could tell John how much I love him, and to wish him a happy first anniversary, and hope there will be many more.
And I hope this story will inspire all other readers who would like to meet someone special to pluck up the courage and go for it.
I would also like to thank my friend Jane for putting the advertisement in. If she hadn't, I would never have met John.
