Colne Cricket Club share second spot with last year's champions St Andrew's. Colne Cricket had a 10-4 win at Turton, Alan Handford winning 21-5 and Barry Robinson 21-16 for Turton.
St Andrew's climbed the table after their 14-0 home defeat of Rishton Con, Philip Wilkinson winning 21-6. Darwen Subs are in fourth place following their 12-2 win at Farington Con, Andy Leaver winning 21-8 and Adrian Burke winning 21-17 for Farington. Sunnybank gained a narrow 9-5 home win over local rivals Haslingden, the aggregate finishing all square, Michael Cordey winning 21-10 for Sunnybank with Jack Pilling winning 21-4 for Haslingden. Globe gained a 10-4 home win over Mortfield, Martin Aspin winning 21-6 and Brian Duncan winning 21-11 for Mortfield. Greenhill gained a narrow 8-6 away win at Edgworth, Ian Marsden winning 21-5 and Mike Williams winning 21-15 for Edgworth.
Nelson had an 8-6 home win over St Stephen's, Kevin Bond winning 21-3 and David Howarth winning 21-10 for the visitors.
