ALEXANDRA number one Brian Tomlinson extended his lead in the Terry Sayers merit awards when he recorded his seventh win of the season to reach 13 points and an aggregate total 43.

Peter Wilding has had a remarkable run for Frenchwood in winning five of his last six starts and is in second place with 11 points.

Louis Stevenson continues a great campaign for Rose N'Bowl and his seventh victory, 21-18, has moved him up four places on the leaderboard into third place also on 11 points.

Mick Lee who won 21-17, takes over as Witton number one from Colin Campbell who has the same nine-point total after going down to his first home defeat.

After an indifferent start to the season, Frenchwood captain Rob Taylor has been a revelation and his latest 21-29 away victory has taken him into the top 10 ratings with nine points.
