SHOPKEEPERS at the top end of Railway Road, Leigh, are unhappy with what they claim is 'second class' facelift treatment.
Although work is being done to improve the grotty, broken pavements in the area, one alleges he was told by workmen that flags used wouldn't be in the class of the new ones near the town centre.
It's about time people realised that Railway Road doesn't end at the Wilkinson Street-Bengal Street junction, he stormed.
Too right. Some of the flags are so bad on one section the council could be in danger of having to cough up compen if someone is in jured.
Let's have some quality up here too.
