RUSKIN Drive provided centre stage for the country's rounders enthusiasts on Sunday.
For it was hosting the National Ladies Club Tournament.
And St Helens had two sides taking part in Pilkington Spartans and Pilkington Vikings.
They did the town proud against some formidable opposition in teams from Sheffield, Leicester and Nottingham.
Despite neither side finishing in the first two, there were some close games.
Vikings, in particular, gave the eventual runners-up Unison a close game with a 3-4 scoreline.
In the St Helens League, TNT Lynx took three wins from their four games.
Victories over Vikings, Haydock and Haresfinch provided some useful points, but they lost to Spartans in the fourth game.
Teams are reminded that training/selection for the St Helens National League squad will take place on tomorrow (Friday) and Friday July 2, 6.30pm at Ruskin Drive.
Other results: TNT 10 Bobbies Lane 12, Haresfinch 8 Bobbies Lane 2 (cup), Grasshoppers 4 Bobbies Lane 13, Rainhill 9 Haydock 9, Sutton 15 Rainhill 14, Bobbies Lane 17 Haydock 20, Spartans 11 Sutton 4, Bobbies Lane 8 Haresfinch 8.
