NOT even the power sapping sand of last weekend's Dukeries Rally could halt the progress of Carnforth's Ian Joel/Graeme Wood and their quest for glory in the British Trial and Rally Drivers' Association Series.
Going into the event in fourth place in the national series, the points they picked up for fourth overall on Saturday's rally has lifted them into second place despite turbo boost problems which curtailed the performance of the Chris Allen Garages/Silkolene supported Escort Cosworth 4x4. The next round is the Quinton Stages in July which is a favourite of the Carnforth crew and so they are looking forward to bettering this weekend's score and adding to their tally.
