SIR, - NOT so long ago I read about Blackpool Borough Council complaining about people damaging kerbs by parking and driving on them.
Last week a council van was parked outside the driver's home, as usual, when a grid cleaning vehicle came along.
Not being able to get to the grid because of the parked council van, the cleaning truck parked alongside, thereby blocking the road.
As this was a busy time of the day, cars had to mount the pavement to pass.
I feel the council should sort out their own vehicles first, before complaining about others.
It seems to me taxpayers' shouldn't be paying for council employees to park work vans outside their homes three or four times a day.
