THE traffic may be calm but residents are positively riled by the humps on Parkhills Road.
They claim that heavy lorries thundering past are causing vibrations and intolerable noise.
At a meeting last week, council bosses were invited by a local resident to go and see the disruption for themselves.
The bemused residents hit out when the speed humps were laid earlier in the year, claiming they failed to slow down the traffic at the notorious accident blackspot.
The traffic calming scheme was part of a £100,000 road safety campaign for the Fishpool area.
Mr Mike Cannon, borough engineer, said: "The matter is already being looked into. The details have been passed on to the experts at the Highways Consortium who will arrange to measure the noise and vibration."
